Based on the discussion at your last meeting, the city's approach to"the financial cli P should
change. In the next year, the city should focus on marketing the city's mission and educating citizens
about the financial realities What specific recommendations does the task force have to move
that forward? Where should Tigard focus first to solidify the city's brand and educate
citizens?Any specific steps suggested?
The task force is not convinced that there is a willingness in the community to pay more just to
maintain overall existing service levels at this time. In the next citizen survey, the city should ask
responders to prioritize services.The city should also explore more fees for service.Beyond surveys
and fees,please give examples of other actions you think the city should take.

Based on the discussion at your last meeting, exploring partnerships with other public agencies or
the private sector is worth pursuing. Tell the city of any other partnership ideas besides the ones
we are pursuing that might be worthwhile.

Based on the discussion at your last meeting, the city should engage in constant communication that
brands the city. What specific strategies does the task force recommend to brand Tigard?

Based on the discussion at your last meeting Tigard's next public dollar should fund a vibrant
downtown creating a heart of the city. You said: 1) leverage the grant and other funding we
already have; and 2) use funding we have to maintain and make better what we have today.
What downtown projects and/or programs are most important to fund, and where should the
dollar come from?
