Specifications SECTION 1506 FIRE CLASSIFICATION 1506.1 General. Roof. assemblies shall be divided into the classes defined below. Class A, B and C roof assemblies and roof coverings required to be listed by this section shall be tested in accordance with ASTM E 108 or UL 790.1n addition, fire- retardant - treated wood roof coverings shall be tested in ac- cordance with ASTM D 2898. Furnish all required certificates of insurance prior to job commencement. 2. Comply with all OSHA required safety standards and procedures throughout the project. 3. Establish a fall protection plan for this project. In addition to establishing a safe work site we will maintain protection of your buildings and grounds. 4. Maintain a clean, watertight and orderly job site and upon completion remove all roofing debris. 5. Provide a 5 -year workmanship warranty from Columbia Construction Services, Inc. and the manufacturer's Lifetime Material Warranty. Roofing and Sheet Metal Specifications 1. Prepare, and protect landscaping and decks with tarps and plywood prior too removal of existing roof. 2. Tear off existing tile roof and dispose of offsite and prepare skip sheeting for new plywood Please note: Any dry rot repair will be billed in addition at $78.00 per hour and material plus 15% for overhead and profit. 3. Remove siding and add crickets to chimneys then replace siding as needed. Note: Price includes building cricket but does not include siding replacement which wil be billed at $78.00 per hour plus material and ,15% for overhead. 4. Furnish and install V2" CDX plywood over skip sheeting. Note: Some units have plywood installed and the plywood and labor will be deducted from the bid. 5. Furnish and install new ASTM 30# roofing felt prior too installing composition shingles. 6. Furnish and install new prepainted 26 gauge drip edge and rake edge flashing prior too installing new composition shingles. Note: Drip edge will be fabricated for height from the raised fascia so gutters and fascia do not have to be removed and replaced. 7. Furnish and install 1- Layers of asphalt starter shingles prior too installing new roofing.. 8. Furnish and install new IKO Cambridge LT (Driftwood) fiberglass asphalt shingles to manufacture's specifications. 9. Furnish and install new lead pipe flashings. 10. Furnish and install new RVO 38 prepainted metal vents. Note: We will make sure all bathroom fans are hooked to new vents. 11. Fabricate and install new chimney flashing. 12. Cut in and install new ridge vent prior too installing new hip and ridge. 13. Furnish and install new standard hip and ridge. 14. Cut in and install new eave venting as needed. Note: Price includes adding soffit vents. 15. Clean up all roofing construction related debris and use magnet to pick up any loose nails and dispose of offsite. 16. Upon completion and payment furnish all warranties as outlined above.
