New windows were added to the upper floor bonus room and master bath,
and the window in the upper floor bedroom was moved to the rear wall. The
shearwall on upper floor Line 1 was checked for the reduced wall length, and the
12.5' long pier is adequate to resist the lateral loads acting on this line. The
FTAO shearwall on upper floor Line A was checked for using only the 4' and 9'
piers, and is adequate to resist the lateral loads acting on this line. No changes
or upgrades to the shearwalls are required at this time as a result of the new
window locations. See attached plan and calculations.
