Dear Hoa,
This letter is regarding the design changes for the Fir Loop Storage Extension project. The changes
include replacing the new exterior 15' -6" Shearwall with a wall consisting of only glass windows.
The following revisions need to be made to the design:
1_ A 5 -1/8" x 12" GluLam Header must be added above the new 15' -6" wall.
2. (2) 6x6 DF #2 posts must be added, one at either end of the new header with EPC66 Post
Caps.
3. Add (4) HDU5 holdowns with 5/8" diameter SSTB anchors, one at each end of the two
shearwalls. The holdowns should be anchored to the 6x6 posts at the exterior wall and
anchored to double studs at the existing building.
All other design shall remain the same as previously specified, including footing sizing, ledger
design, remaining shcarwalls, and rafter support and blocking.
