Dear Andy:
The shear wall at line 1 needs to be a perforated she:,-wall type B with type 5 hold down at the
ends of the all (a total of 2). The 4'-0"x 4'-0"is centered on the wall. Shear wall sheathing and
nailing pattern shall be same above and below the window opening. The type 5 hold down strap
shall be from the main floor to wall below per the typical hold down strap.
