Work beneath the dripline of protected trees shall be performed under arborist supervision, including demolition of existing infrastructure. No stockpiling beneath the dripline of protected trees, or excavation, except under the direct guidance of an arborist. The large red oak, tree 496, should be pruned to remove dead wood and provide for necessary overhead clearance. An aerial inspection is also recommended and subordination pruning and cabling and bracing may also be necessary for safety. Pruning should be performed by a Qualified Tree Service that also has an ISA Tree Risk Assessment Qualified arborist on staff to conduct the aerial inspection. Douglas -fir tree 439 should also be pruned to remove dead wood. Prune the minimum amount needed. The existing landscape wall should be removed by hand and with hand tools beneath the dripline of the tree; an excavator could be used under the direct guidance of an arborist. During clearing, the project arborist should re- evaluate trees in the eastern portion of the site in terms of general condition and suitability for preservation with construction. Once the site is staked and prepared for construction, a site visit is recommended to evaluate potential construction impacts to protected trees and provide additional recommendations for tree protection as needed. Please contact us if you have questions or need any additional information. Thank you, Morgan Morgan Hoien I 2//(//2- 5 ,• i, F .
