Temporary Sewer Connection for Westside Christian High School at 8200 SW Pfaffle St
Per Clean Water Services Rates and Charges:
I. DEFINITIONS
1.44 Temporary Discharge
a. The discharge of domestic wastewater to the sanitary sewer system from a temporary use where there is a
temporary structure requiring sanitary sewer service. This would include construction trailers, facilities for short
term events, or manufactured homes with temporary placement permits. Temporary use of a permanent structure
shall not qualify as a temporary discharge.
III. DEFINITION AND APPLICATION OF FEES AND CHARGES
A. SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGES (CONNECTION CHARGES)
3) Temporary discharges of wastewater as defined in Section I shall be charged connection and/or discharge fees as
described below.
a) Temporary discharges of domestic wastewater as defined in Section I require a sanitary sewer connection
permit and shall be charged a temporary sanitary sewer connection fee as described in Appendix A, Section
A.1.b. These discharges are subject to Sanitary Sewer Services Charges as defined in Section III.B.I .a.l .
APPENDIX A -FEES AND CHARGES
A. SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT CHARGES
1. Sanitary Sewer System Development Charges
a. Connection fee $4,665.00 Total per DU or DUE
Reimbursement portion $2,879.00 per DU or DUE
Improvement portion $1,786.00 per DU or DUE
b. Temporary Sewer Connection Fee (# of years discharging x (Reimbursement +
Improvement) per DUE) / 20 -year life
Calculation Method:
1 DU = $4,665.00 1 DU = 16 fixture units
Temporary Structure contains (4) water closets, (2) urinals and (4) lays
Water closets = 6 fixture units each, urinals = 6 fixture units each and lays = 2 fixture units
Total number of fixture units = 44
44 fixture units ± 16 = 2.75 DU's
2.75 x $4,665.00 = $12,828.75
Per the calculation in Appendix A, Section 1.b of Clean Water Services Rates and Charges:
.5(6 months) x $12,828.75 ± 20 = $320.72
