The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC)
2007 edition; the State of Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC) 2005 edition and the
Oregon Fire Code 2007 edition. The submitted plans have been reviewed and the following
information is required prior to issuance of the permit
1. The brace panels located on the left side of bedroom 2 and at the closet between
bedroom 2 & 3 are not in one plane with the braced wall line below and do not meet the
exception of section R301.2.2.2.2 #1. Please revise plans to eliminate irregular potion of
the prescriptive construction or provide calculations and details for the wall prepared by
an engineer licensed to practice in the State of Oregon to show shear transfer to the
offset wall line below.
2. The calculations for the garage door header and the truss package provided are for

common trusses. The access door from the master bedroom and the plans indicate attic
trusses. Please clarify and revise if attic storage trusses are to be used.
3. The plans indicate T -111 siding. Please provide product listing or APA (American
Plywood Association) documentation for the use of this product as a prescriptive brace
panel.
NOTE: This plan review is for the structure only. As of the time of this review, the planning
and engineering departments have not approved the site plan as submitted. All other issues must
be resolved prior to building permit issuance.
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the
enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal The letter of transmittal assists the City of
Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.
