At that time we discussed the possibility of approving access to Mr. Stan Adkins property. The curb cut under discussion is located just off of Highway 99 between a Dentist's orfice and an Ice Cream • Parlor called The Dairy Queen. At present this access is , . an extended curb cut, carrying an excessive traffic load, and causing a grave traffic hazzard. The proposed developer, Mr. Stan Adkins, plans to build apartments on Tax Lot 1700, 1800, 1900, using the above mentioned curb cut as access. The Tigard City Staff, and the Plannin,4 and Zoning Commission felt that improvements must be made before the proposed development could be allowed. Realizing that the State Highway Department must make the final decision as to whether or not access can be improved, I have enclosed the recommendations of the Tigard Planning • and Zoning Commission for said improvements. I sincerely hope that this improvement will be granted, thus provid:',.ng safe access for both the proposed development and the existing facilities which also use this curb cut.
