The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (055C)
2004 edition; the State of Oregon Oregon Residential Specialty Code ORSC) 2005 edition and
the Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Ordinance 99 -01 (TVFR99 -01) 1999 edition. The submitted
plans have been reviewed and the following information is required prior to issuance of the
permit.
1. The insulation schedule shown on the plans do not meet the Oregon Residential
Specialty code (ORSQ R values.
2. The framing plan shows multiple point loads which exceed the capacity of the
continuous and /or expanded footings shown on the foundation plan. 9 (see intersection
of RF -9and RF -10, Intersection of RF -3 and girder truss GG, and verify ability of the
typical footing to support multiple 4000 +# point loads without expanded footings.
3. The roof framing plan shows a girder truss supporting one end of beam RF -3, the truss
details do not show such a truss.
4. The loading criteria for the beam calculations appear to have the snow loading and dead
loading reversed.
5. The APA portal frame detail shown on sheet A-7 does not meet Oregon's prescriptive
portal frame details. Please see interpretive ruling 97 -1 and revise.
6. Prescriptive lateral bracing would require bracing at the entry to the single car garage.
7. The alternate brace panel detail shown on sheet A-7 would only meet the requirements
for a 1 -story structure and not 1 & 2 story structures as identified.
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the
enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of
Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.
