SUBJECT: Permits
On 9/24/96 a mechanical permit was issued to change pressure
regulato on some of the existing units and install 12 new units.
9/25/96.a Building Inspector inspected the gas line, which was
approved. Following a gas line inspection, a final mechanical
inspection is required." It is the responsibility of the contractor
to request all inspections. At this time, a final mechanical
inspection has not been requested.
On 7/3/96 Johnson Control submitted a plumbing permit application.
On 8/1/96 Johnson Control was inform the permit was ready to pick
up. On 10 /15 /96,the plumbing permit was issued to replace a water
heater. No inspections have been requested at this time.

Dear Ms. Amo,
This letter is written to clarify the requirements of the City of Tigard Building Department
regarding the addition of the Bell Pavilion at the Metzger Elementary School.
The City Building Official, David Scott, has reviewed the plans faxed from the architect.
According to code, any structure over six (6) feet in height will need a building permit. Fees for
this are based on the project valuation. The brick structure holding the bell is under six feet and
would not require a building permit. However, the pavilion structure would require engineered
plans and structure details for foundation and roof
To proceed with the pavilion structure building, we require 3 sets of plans (one for the building
review, one for engineering review, and one for the fire department so they can update their
maps) and 5 detailed site plans at the time of permit application submittal. The time frame for
plan review letter generation is 2 -3 weeks. The Development Services Technicians would require
another 2 -3 days to process and prepare for permitting.
