Dear Mr.Schreindl,
This is in follow -up to our conversation regarding the above mentioned residence. As
we discussed, the repair to the residence was as follows: Seven trusses were
replaced, which included the gable end truss. The trusses replaced matched existing
trusses. An engineered drawing of the trusses was filed at the time I applied for the
permit. They were installed according to the engineers' specs and to current building
code requirements, including the proper clips. Siding on the gable end was replaced
because it was marred and broken up by branches. One piece of wall sheathing
needed replacement and was replaced with 1/2 cdx. The insulation in that area was
replaced with the current code requirement of R 15 high density insulation. The attic
area above the affected area was reinsulated to current code.
There is attic access to this area and I would be more than willing to meet you out there
if you wish. I hope this will satisfy your requirements. If anything else is needed,
