The Building Official, Brian Blalock, has agreed to a second extension of the permit applications for Building 4 (containing 9 units) in the Oak Street Townhomes project. The condition for this extension is that all plan review, permit fees and system development charges in the amount of $106,912.78 must be paid by no later than Friday, June 6, 2008. The Building Official will allow the extension, and defer permit issuance, with payment of all fees to indicate that the application has been pursued in good faith. If the permit is not issued within 180 days after payment of fees, the permit will be expired and a percentage of the permit fees will be refunded. The applicant must request an extension in writing and justifiable cause must be demonstrated per Section R105.32 of the Oregon Residential Specialty Code. Please submit your written request for extension addressed to the Building Official along with payment of all permit fees by no later than June 6, 2008. The extension letter and payment can be submitted at the Building Permit Counter. If payment is not received by June 6, 2008, an invoice will be sent for all plan review fees due in the amount of $1,107.81 for Building 4. Per your request we have expired all permits for units in Building 3 and Building 5. Invoices are being prepared for all plan review fees due in the amount of $1,318.61 for Building 3 and $975.14 for Building 5. A lien will be placed on each parcel, and no additional permits can be applied for on these parcels until all plan review fees have been paid.
