Specifications RECEIVE' JAN 1 3 2012 r;GA. iD Project Plan: Windmill Apartments Ductless Heat Pump Installation DIVISION Submitted by: Jonathan Moscatello, The Heat Pump Store - Date: 1/13/12 CITY TIGARD Approved C .NT. ,,, [ l4 Address: 10587 SW Tigard St, Tigard, OR 97223 Conditionally Approved [ ] See Letter to: Follow [ Attached Owners: Jim and Sharon Richards ()Mi t - Permit Number: GWLZ t ( Tj op A•dr to - 6 By: diCa. Date: Ii ?— Description: There are 20 identical structures at the property. Each structure is two stories tall, with two apartments on the lower level and two on the upper level. SEE ATTACHED FLOOR PLAN. OFFICE COPY We will install one ductless heat pump system (see attached submittal, Mitsubishi MUZ /MSZ- FE12NA) for each apartment. These are split systems, with an indoor "head" and an outdoor heat pump unit. The indoor and outdoor units are connected by BUNDLE containing two small refrigerant lines, a power and communications wire, and a condensate drain. Approved plans Installation Plan: shall be on job site. OUTDOOR HEAT PUMP UNIT: The outdoor heat pump for each unit will be attached to the wall of each structure, just opposite of the storage unit for each apartment, using a manufacturer approved bracket (see BRACKET submittal, see exterior FRONT and BACK photos). The heat pumps will be installed approximately 12 inches above the ground level. They will be supplied with a 230V single phase electric circuit per the manufacturer's specifications using an outdoor disconnect. INDOOR "HEAD ": The indoor "head" unit for each outdoor heat pump will be attached to the living room wall of each apartment (see FLOOR PLAN). It will be connected to the outdoor unit by a so- called "bundle" of refrigerant lines, power /communications wire, and condensation drain line. The "bundle" will travel along the following pathway: from the outdoor unit, the bundle will travel to the nearest foundation vent, and enter into the crawlspace. The bundle will run through the crawlspace and penetrate into the storage unit through the floor. The bundle will run up the wall of the storage unit inside specialized conduit call "line cover ". At about head height, one of the sets of refrigerant lines, one power /communication wore and condensate drain will penetrate the storage unit wall and terminate at the head in the living room. All connections to the "head" will be made. Again the penetration will be sealed with fire caulk. The remainder of the bundle will continue upward toward the second story and the head in the living room of the upper unit. The remaining items in the bundle will penetrate the ceiling of the lower storage unit, enter the upper unit, and continue to the head for the upper unit. Again, connections will be made and penetrations sealed with fire caulk. MITSUBISHI Mk. ELECTRIC M Ir. SUM C O O L I N G & HEATING Split - ductless AC and Heat Pumps SUBMITTAL DATA: CWMB1..
