P.R. 6 -46C (BUP 95 -0251) Dear Sirs: The plans have been reviewed for conformity to the applicable codes. Please submit the following items to complete the review process. ACCESSIBILITY 1. The plan did not illustrate a cashier station or customer service counters. Accessible check out aisles shall be on an accessible route complying with Section 3109(s). Counters in accessible check out aisles shall not be more than 36 inches high and not less than 36 inches in length [OSSC, Section 3109(w) 2 & 3]. Provide illustration. FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY 1. The wall type specified for the exit corridor is not of one -hour construction. (see sheet A 6.0). Specify the correct design. 2. Access to the exit corridor shall not pass through the stock room or fitting room area [OSSC, Section 3303(e)]. Provide immediate access to a rate corridor from the sales area. - 3. Illustration 14/A6.5 shall specify 5/8" type X fire resistive gypsum board. 4. Provide exit illumination having an intensity of not less than one foot candle at floor level, and provide a separate power source, such as an on -site generator or storage batteries to operate the lighting system in the exiting system [Section 3313(a)(b)]. - 5. The width of aisles leading to required exits shall be provided from all portions of the tenant space. Provide a 44 inch wide aisle front to back, cross aisle and aisle to the exit corridor [Section 3315(a)(b) 2]. Provide an exit sign at the exit corridor entrance incorporating the international symbol of accessibility [OSSC, Section 3109(o) 6]. 7. Provide size 2A fire extinguishers throughout so that the maximum travel distance shall not exceed 75 feet [NFPA 10, Section 3 -2]. STRUCTURAL 1. Provide the design, specifications and calculation prepared by a licensed structural engineer for the suspended gypsum board ceiling in illustration 14/A6.0. Include a review of structural roof elements supporting the additional load. Provide the valuation of the project for permit fee calculations. Provide three copies of the applicable revised plan sheet. If you have any questions regarding these items, feel free to call.
