The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC)
1998 edition; the State of Oregon Mechanical Specialty Code (OMSC) 2002 edition; and the
Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Ordinance 99 -01 (TVFR99 -01) 1999 edition. The submitted
plans have been reviewed and the following information is required prior to the issuance of a
Building Permit.
1. Washington Square was created prior to the existence of the current Covered Mall
Building code as defined in section 404 OSSC. Due to the fact that a Smoke - control
system does not exist, all tenant spaces are required to have an exit directly into a
rated corridor or to the exterior of the building. The wall proposed on sheet A1.0
designated #5 on the wall legend will create an intervening room and is required
to be constructed as a corridor. Clarify the construction of all elements of the
corridor including fire smoke dampers, rated floor /ceiling assemblies, rated walls and
rated doors.
RESPONSE NOT ACCEPTED — The revised plans only showed a 1 hour rated wall.
Address the remaining components of the rated corridor as mentioned above such as rated
doors, rated ceiling and protection of any penetrations like mechanical ducts.
2. Complete the enclosed Lighting — General forms and worksheets for the lighting in
the space.

Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.
