The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC)
2004 edition; and 2003 Oregon Fire Code (OFC) as amended by TVF&R. The submitted
plans are approved subject to the following conditions.
1. Special inspection is required for anchorage of storage racks 8 plus feet or greater in
height (per 1707.1 OSSC). The special inspection agency of record shall furnish
inspection reports to Structural Concepts Engineering, the Engineer of Record, the
General Contractor, and the City of Tigard, Building Division, attention Hap Watkins.
All discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the general contractor for
correction. The special inspector shall submit a final signed report stating whether the
work requiring special inspection was, to the best of the inspector's knowledge, in
conformance with the approved plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship
provisions of the code. 1704 OSSC
2. Provide three 2 -A rated fire extinguisher on the second story area and one on lower story
area. The extinguisher shall be located so that no usable space has a distance greater than
75 feet to the extinguishers. OFC 906.3
3. The clearance between the deflector and the top of storage shall be 18 in. or greater.

4. The racks shall display in one or more conspicuous locations a permanent plaque not less
than 50 square inches in area, showing the maximum permissible unit load in clear

Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall
be maintained on the job site. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors
throughout all phases of construction. 106.4.2 OSSC
When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the
enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of
Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.
