The plan review was performed under the State of Mechanical Structural Specialty Code (OMSC) 2004
edition and 2004 Oregon Fire Code as amended by TVF &R The submitted plans are approved subject to
the following conditions.
1. The building or structure shall not be weakened by the installation of mechanical systems. Where
floors, walls, ceilings or any other portion of the building or structure are required to be altered or
replaced in the process of installing or repairing any system, the building or structure shall be left in a
safe structural condition in accordance with the Oregon Building Code. 302.1 OMSC
2. Condensate drain systems shall be provided for equipment and appliances containing evaporators or
cooling coils. Condensate drain systems shall be designed, constructed and installed in accordance with
Sections 307.2.1 through 307.2.4 of OMSC. 307.2 OMSC
3. Gas piping systems under 14 inches (3.5 kPa) water column pressure, shall be tested at a pressure of
not less than 10 pounds per square inch gage. Test pressures shall be held for not less than 15 minutes
with no perceptible drop in pressure. For welded piping, and for piping carrying gas at pressures
exceeding 14 inches water column (3484 Pa) pressure, the test pressure shall be at least 60 pounds per
square inch for not less than 30 minutes. C406 OMSC

Approved Plans: 1 set of approved plans, bearing the City of Tigard approval stamp, shall be maintained on
the jobsite. The plans shall be available to the Building Division inspectors throughout all phases of

Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of Tigard in tracking and processing
the documents.
