BUP2006 -00552 Construction Type: II B Tenant Name: Macy's Occupancy Type: S1 — 2 story Address: 9300 SW Washington Sq Occupant Load: 56 The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) 2004 edition; anii 2004 International Fire Code as amended by TVF&R. The submitted plans are approved subject to the following conditions. 1. Special inspection is required for welding, embed plates, bolts in concrete, structural steel fabrication and erection, adhesive and expansion anchor installation. The special inspection agency of record shall furnish inspection reports to the Engineer of Record, Collons and Smith Engineers, Inc. , the General Contractor, and the City of Tigard, Building Division, attention Hap Watkins. All discrepancies shall be brought to the immediate attention of the general contractor for correction. The special inspector shall submit a final signed report stating whether the work requiring special inspection was, to the best of the inspector's knowledge, in conformance with the approved plans and specifications and the applicable workmanship provisions of the code. 1704, 1705, 1707, 1708 OSSC FYI The special inspections do not waive the any of the inspection required by code. 2. The live loads for which each floor has been designed to exceed 50 psf shall be conspicuously posted by the owner in that part of each story in which they apply, using durable metal signs, and it shall be unlawful to remove or deface such notices. The occupant of the building shall be responsible for keeping the actual load below the allowable limits. 1603.3 OSSC 3. Provide 2 -A rated fire extinguishers in the new area. The extinguishers shall be located so that no usable • space has a distance greater than 75 feet to the extinguisher. OFC 906.3 4. Horizontal sliding or vertical security grilles shall be openable from the inside without the use of a key or special knowledge or effort during periods that the space is occupied. OSSC 1008.1.3.5 5. Exits and exit access doors shall be marked by an approved exit sign readily visible from any direction of egress travel. Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible exit signs in cases where the exit or the path of egress travel is not immediately visible to the occupants. Sec. 1011.1 7. Where not all means of egress are accessible, directional signs shall be provided at nonaccessible exits to indicate the route to the nearest accessible exit or area of rescue assistance, as required in Sections 1108.4.12, 1109.15.2, 1109.15.3 and 1109.15.4. OSSC 1107.5 8. The means of egress shall be provided with illumination of not less than 1 foot candle at the floor level any the building is occupied. The means of egress illumination shall be provided with a second source of power in case of primary power loss. 1006. OSSC 9. The power supply for means of egress illumination shall normally be provided by the premise's electrical supply. In the event of power supply failure, an emergency electrical system shall automatically illuminate the following areas: 1. Exit access corridors, passageways and aisles in rooms and spaces which require two or more means of egress. 2. Exit access corridors and exit stairways located in buildings required to have two or more exits. 3. Exterior egress components at other than the level of exit discharge until exit discharge is accomplished for buildings required to have two or more exits. 4. Interior exit discharge elements, as permitted in Section 1023.1, in buildings required to have two or more exits. 5. The portion of the exterior exit discharge immediately adjacent to exit discharge doorways in buildings required to have two or more exits. 6. The emergency power system shall provide power for a duration of not less than 90 minutes and shall consist of storage batteries, unit equipment or an on -site generator. The installation of the emergency power system shall be in accordance with Electrical Code. 10. Deferred submittals such as Truss Joist Shop Drawings, suspended ceiling system etc, will be charged a deferred submittal fee based on the valuation of the portion of the work being deferred. The minimum fee shall be $200.00. This fee is in addition to the project plan review fee based on the total project value. When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal.
