At the time of my visit, the contractor had excavated lots 30 to 37 to subgrade elevations. The footing contractor was in the process of placing forms within lot 30. I observed and probed the subgrade using a 1/2-inch diameter steel foundation probe. The subgrade in both of the lots was very stiff to hard native silt. Based on observation and probing, the subgrade in both lots has been prepared in general conformance with ' the project specifications and my recommendations and will perform as intended to support single family home foundations. The areas are ready for placement of footing forms and reinforcement. Attachments: Photo Log A Preliminary report is provided solely as evidence that the field observation was performed.
