The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC) 2004
edition and the State of Oregon Residential Specialty Code (ORSC) 2005 edition. The submitted
plans have been reviewed and the following information is required prior to issuance of the permit.
1. Provide details for the construction of the "Viranda" indicated on sheet 1. RI06.1 ORSC
2. Provide calculations for both 4 x 14 garage headers indicated on sheet 7. R602.7 ORSC
3. Provide a method of attachment capable of supporting Beam "E" where it is supported by
beam "F ". See notes on sheet 1 of "BEAM F .dsn ". R502.6 ORSC
The City of Tigard believes the following items should be identified on the plans and have been
redlined in.
1. Smoke detectors were not indicated. R313 ORSC
2. A guardrail was not indicated at the front porch. R312 ORSC
3. Exhaust fans were not indicated in 2 of the rooms with bathing facilities. R303.3.1 ORSC
4. A note should indicate the Gas furnace and water heater will be installed 18 inches above
garage floor. M1307.3 ORSC
5. A note should indicate 5/8 -inch, Type X sheetrock is required on the ceiling of the garage.

When submitting revised drawings or additional information, please attach a copy of the enclosed
City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City of Tigard in
