I spoke with Mr. Durst over the phone. At the time of my visit, the contractor had excavated lots 21 to 22 to subgrade elevations. The contractor was in the process of placing forms within lot 21. I observed and probed the subgrade using a 1/2-inch diameter steel foundation probe. The subgrade in the front of the lot consists of very stiff to hard residual soil (silt /clay). Based on observation and probing, the subgrade excavations have been prepared in general conformance with the project specifications and my recommendations and will perform as intended to support single family home foundations. The areas are ready for placement of footing forms and reinforcement. Attachments: Photo Log A Preliminary report is provided solely as evidence that the field observation was performed.
