Newton: I am enclosing copies of correspondence over the pwst several years regarding the subject property and our efforts to maintain the zoning nn which would allow for seven building lots per acre to be included as a part of the projects development scheme. By way of summary, you will see that the correspondence :limits indicates that the subject property was amended to the City's and approved for a R -5 lot subdivision in a staff recommendation report dated 23 July 81. It the spring of 1982, we left the Portland area and became out of state property o n On 3 May hearing 83, after hearin of the City's review of the zon Y.ng, I requested a clarification of the zoning and received c+;rrespondence from the City dated 28 June 83 in which Mr. Jeremy Coursolle indicated that the poposed revised zoning would still allow for the, seven lots per acre development scheme. On this basis I have been actively promoting the sale of the property to a local developer who would continue with the filing of the plan and installation of utilities, etc. for final homes to be constructed. On this date I have been notified by telephone that the revised eviseA 2oning or the subject w a will onl y allow 4.5 building Y T was shocked and disa . . ointed. lots per acre.: deedless to ay, pp.. There has been no written notification of this change in status nor was the input' of the property owner invited when the City Planning Commission made their decision to revise the zoning. Miss. Liz Newton February 26, 1985 Page Two At this time I am 'requesting, your immediate participation in identifying what options we have, as property owners, to maintain the pro*r:rtv's value as zoned for 5,000 SF lots. The timing in any action that may be taken is important since the project has been held up pending a better economic climate. At this time I am getting some input that the climate has improved and have several interested local developers. Your assistance in resolving the above issues and assisting in providing proper development data to prospective buyers would be appreciated.
