Zoning Designations nations on Newly Annexed Parcels of Land : . • During discussions with theWashington CountyPlanning Staff regarding the City's Comprehensive Plan, the County staff raised the issue of zoning properties newly annexed to the City. The County has adopted zoning designations for areas within the City's Urban Growth Boundary. The City and the County Planning staffs agreed that, in order to accommodate existing development and neighborhoods as they are annexed to the City, the City should place the City zoning designation on the property which most closely conforms to the County zoning designation. Staff proposes the new policy as follows: 10.1.3, Upon annexation of land into the City which carries a Washington County zoning designation, the City of Tigard. shall assign the City of Tigard zoning district designation which most closely conforms to the County zoning designation.
