The City of Tigard received a subpoena for the above referenced address on November
30, 2005. The subpoena was issued to the City of Tigard Building Department requiring
us to attend a hearing at 10:00 AM on December 9, 2005 with all documents in our files
regarding this address.
In the absence of a specific person mentioned in the subpoena, I contacted Loreen Mills
in Risk Management for direction. I was instructed to contact the attorney, John
Knowles, to inquire as to what documentation they required and if a representative from
the City should attend the hearing. I contacted Mr. Knowles on the morning of
December 5, 2005 and was told that they just needed copies of the permits and any
other 8 1/2 x 11 documents we had in our file. I asked if they needed the building plans
and he said no, the permits documents would suffice and no one from the city needed
to show up. This would meet the intenet of their subpoena.
I instructed Waidi Olopade, an Administrative Specialist I to copy the requested
documents and mail them to the attorney, John Knowles. Attached is a list of the
documents copied and sent as well as a copy of the actual subpoena. •
