Leach, E.I. II ♦12- 12 -96: CTI engineering associate, Brian Leach, arrived on site at 10:00 AM to observe the foundation excavation for the proposed home. The footings were hand probed and observed. The subgrade i. soils consisted of a brown silt. The bottom left hand corner of the foundation should be overexcavated approximately 12 inches. The excavation should be reviewed by the city inspector prior to pouring concrete to determine if the removal was adequate. The 1 remaining footings are considered suitable for a maximum allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf. Leach, E.I. +1-14-97: CTI engineering associate, Brian Leach, arrived on site at 1:00 PM to observe the foundation excavation for the proposed home. The footings were hand probed and observed. The subgrade soils consisted of a stiff, brown silt. The bottom right hand corner of the lot consisted of a compacted gravelly fill. The observed foundation subgrade is considered suitable for a maximum allowable bearing pressure of 1,500 psf. The footing -to -slope setbacks are also considered adequate.
