Subject: Electrical Plan Review
The plans submitted were reviewed for conformity with the 1996 National Electrical
Code (NEC) and the State of Oregon Electrical Specialty Code. The following was
noted: •
1. The 1996 NEC is the minimum electrical requirement.
2. The service equipment (MDP) to have buss rating that exceeds fault current
projections. The secondary (subpanels) equipment to have series fault current
listing with MDP. --
3. The service grounding per NEC 250 requires use of Ufer (Rebar) ground. The
additional bonding requirements will connect water lines and building steel.
4. NEC 517 -14 requires panelboard ' bonding of continuous insulated copper
conductor in patient treatment areas. This requirement is also covered in NEC
517 -50.
