Correspondence 25 June 1996 David Scott, P.E. Building Official City of Tigard 13125 S.W. Hall Blvd. Tigard, OR 97223 RE: Final Notice Sent 17 June, re SWR92 -0393 at 07130 SW Pine St. Dear Mr. Scott: An inspector from the city completed an inspection of our property 16 February, and informed us of the following requirements: 1. Firestops at penetrations in the back wall and ceiling of our garage; 2. Tempered glazing for the front porch light; 3. Clean -outs under each of the house's 3 sinks; and 4. Some kind of handles for the covers to the attic and underfloor crawl- space. As these were code requirements which should have been performed by the builder of our home during its construction in 1993, I called the builder — John Skorro of A &J Quality Construction — and informed him of the city's notice and inspection. Within a few weeks he sent a workman, who did some work on the first item, then said he would return in a few days. When he did not return, I again called John Skorro, who said he would have the rest of the items done soon. However, we have not seen him or his employee since. After receiving your notice of 17 June, I again called John Skorro's home, and was told by his uncle that he is out of the country and will not return until 6 September. Therefore, I am requesting an extension to that date. Cordially, eT/ieve f David V. We have no record of any subsequent or final inspections for this project. Please advise the Building Division as to the status of this project within 15 days from the date of this letter. At that time, you may schedule the next required inspection. Please note that permits become void if there has not been an inspection performed for over 180 days. In that case, the Building Division may require a new application and fees to continue the work. Also, a notice of non- compliance against the property may be recorded by the City. If you need additional time to complete the project, please contact the Building_ Division so that an extension can be discussed. • Notice.a
