Please provide resolution of the following items: . Edge protection shall be provided as part of the handrails when provided for ramps with a slope steeper than 5 %. Revise the handrail detail to include a horizontal rail, 17 to 19 inches above the ramp surface [OSSC, Section 1109.7.7]. Provide a drawin within the plans which details the termination of eaves at the area 9 separation walls. A. Roof plans are required, including truss details. a The record of survey must be received and accepted by Washington County Surveyors office. Provide an executed copy. The design of the party wall detailed as Sheet D1 does not provide adequate load path from shear walls to the roof diaphragm. Extend shear walls to roof. Provide one additional set of revised plans. Provide a copy of the recorded instrument describing the site as one parcel. I I The wind and seismic calculations do not show the total force distributed over the height of the building as required by OSSC, Section 1628.4. Provide new �- design requirements. The use of Rw of 8 in determining shear is incorrect for a structure of light framing using G.W.B. After doing a quick calculation, it is evident the loads exceed the capacity of many G.W.B. walls. Submit new design requirements and calculations. 2 g l i What is the materials used for shear walls separating garage doors? A. The maximum diaphragm ratios using structural panels or particle board 9 P is 3 1/2 to 1 [OSSC, Table 23 -I -I]. Provide a design in conformance and the supporting engineering. 4. Provide an illustration with specification of extending and attaching interior shear walls to the roof sheathing. Complete the enclosed Special Inspection form and return to this office prior to our issuance of the building permit. Copies of all special inspection reports shall be filed with this office continually during construction. A.final signed report must be on file before occupancy will be permitted [OSSC, Section 1701.3]. Provide engineering for a reinforced concrete foundation. • The swimming pool and spa are defined as limited-use public facilities and regulated by Oregon Revised Statute 448.011 for the swimming pool and Oregon Administrative Rule 33-62-140 for the spa. Post signs for the pool area as required by Section 42 -185, and as required for / the spa. 4! Provide a pool enclosure in accordance with Section 42 -133. Submit details and / specifications within the plans. 5. Provide details of the pool /spa equipment room. Include details of the hot water supply boiler.
