At At your request we visited the above- mentioned site. It was noted that the rough framing for the
addition has been completed. All work appeared to be per the construction and the design intent
with the following items requiring clarification:
•
' • Detail 3/S4.1: The as -built new roof truss that is directly adjacent to the plywood shear wall
should be connected to the double top plate with A35 clips at 24" O.C. •
• Detail 2/S4.1: The roof trusses at this location were revised to scissors trusses. The •
asObult condition is acceptable provided 2x4 blocking is added between the gable end
truss and the first scissors truss at 32" O.C. the drywall should be screwed to the blocking
with screws spaced at 4" O.C. •
• Details 1/S4.2 & 3/S4.2: It was noted that these details are from a previous version of the
plans and no longer are valid. Please disregard these details.
