This review was performed under the provisions of the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code (OSSC), 1998 edition and the Uniform Fire Code (UFC) as amended by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue. The plans are approved subject to the following conditions. 1. The stairway rise is shown as 8 inches and run is identified as 9 inches. Since this is a private stairway, Exception 1 of OSSC Section 1003.3.3.3 can be utilized. However, there shall be a nosing provided of not less than 3 /4 -inch and not more than 1% inches if the riser is vertical. If the riser is sloped, the minimum tread depth shall be 10 inches. OSSC Section 1003.3.3.3. 2. The design live load of 125 per square foot shall be posted in a conspicuous place by the owner in the new storage area. The sign shall be made of durable metal and shall be unlawful to remove or deface the sign. The owner shall be responsible for keeping the actual load below the allowable limit. Doors shall be provided with lever type hardware that does not require tight grasping, pinching or twisting to operate. OSSC Section 1109.9.8 and 1109.3.2. 4. Fire extinguishers shall be provided in accordance with UFC Standard 10- 1 and shall be located so the travel distance from any point to an extinguisher does not exceed 75 feet. 5. A copy of the approved plan shall be kept on the site and made available to the City of Tigard inspectors for inspection purposes. 6.
