The City's comments regarding the original plans are below (in italicized font). They are followed by how the issue has been addressed in the revised plan set. 1) Construction requirements for suspended ceiling systems are found in the Oregon Building Codes Division website under Statewide Code Interpretations dated 4/20/2007. (see interpretations(structural) at www.bcd.oregon.gov) The code is now referenced on the plans which are consistent with the applicable standards. Drawings 4 and 6 on sheet A 504 indicate the proposed method. 2) A public facilities improvement permit is required for overflow infiltration basin. A public facilities improvement permit is being provided as part of today's submittal. A narrative regarding the overflow infiltration basin is provided as part of the revised plan set. 3) Please provide complete code summary for this tenant improvement. The complete code summary for the proposed improvement is included on sheet A 001 of the revised plan set. 4) Provide details for blocking, strap, and attachment for drag strap at roof. Details regarding blocking, drag strap, and attachment for the drag strap to the roof are included on sheet S 102. 5) A site permit is required for this project. A separate electrical permit and plans will be submitted at a later date as a deferred submittal. 8) A site utilities permit is required for this project. A site utilities permit has or will be provided prior to issuance of the building permit. 9) Please provide design for seismic attachment of cistern. The design for the seismic attachment of the cistern is indicated on sheets S 101 and S 102 on the revised plan set. In addition, the attached letter of August 13, 2008 from Catena Consulting Engineers contains additional information. 10) Provide roof design and calculations for seismic and vertical loads from new HVAC Roof Pac's. Details regarding roof design and calculations for seismic and vertical loads from new HVAC roof pac are included in the revised plan set at sheet S 102 and in the revised structural details and calculations attached. 11) Provide construction details for connection of 5 1/8x12 GLB to 8x8 HSS column. Construction details regarding connection of 5 1/8x12 GLB to 8x8 HSS column are included in the revised plan set at sheet S 505. As indicated above, we have addressed or will address all of the items listed in the August 5, 2008 plan review letter. In addition, the lighting energy form is attached.
