APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

Roof deck shall be film, clean, dry and smooth. Apply Fields F52 GlasBase 1. F52 GlasBase 1 Ply
Fiberglass Type II Base Sheet so that the flow of water is over or parallel to, but
never against the laps. It shall be lapped 2" on sides and 6" on ends. End laps 2. F54 GlasPy4 2 plies
shall be at least 4" and adjacent end laps shall be at least 12" apart. Extend 3. T3 MeltPac 26 lbs./sq./ply
base sheet above the top of the cant strip. Nail the base sheet 9" on center
on the laps, and stagger nail two rows 18" on center, 12" distant from each 4. F58 GlasCap 1 ply •

Install an extra layer of F52 GlasBase in valleys and waterways. This 36" wide
layer shall extend at least 8" up the inclines out of the valleys, set in a uniform
layer of Fields T3 MeltPac Hot Asphalt at a rate of 25 lbs. per 100 square feet of
roof area. This ply shall be laid prior to the application of the roofing plies.
Install two plies of Fields F54 GlasPly4 Fiberglass Type IV Ply Sheet in shingle
fashion, lapping 19" with a 17" exposure. Starter strips of 18" and 36" shall be
used and the second full sheet shall be laid with a maximum exposure of 16 ".
Embed the full width of the ply sheet into T3 MeltPac Hot Asphalt applied at a
uniform rate of 25 lbs. per 100 square feet of roof area. The ply shall be lightly
broomed as it is applied.
Cul Fields F58 GlasCap Fiberglass Cap Sheet into 12' lengths, and allow to
relax. Apply F58 GlasCap Sheet so that the flow of water is parallel to but never
against the laps. Embed F58 GlasCap Sheet into a uniform solid mopping of
T3 MettPac applied at a uniform rate of 25 lbs. per 100 square feet of roof area.
Set neatly into place wilh 2" side lap and 4" end lap. Adjacent end laps shall be
at least :3' apart. There must be complete adhesion between the F58 GlasCap
Sheet and the asphalt.
All exposed mastic and asphalt bleedout shall have matching ceramic granules
embedded into the product at the time of application.
