EROSION
• Erosion control measures shall be in place prior to excavation or grading.
FIRE DEPARTMENT ACCESS
• The driveway is considered a fire department access roadway. The driveway
shall be capable of supporting a gross vehicle weight of 60,000 pounds.
ACCESSIBILITY
• Accessible walkways and routes shall not exceed a running slope of 1 unit
vertical in 20 units horizontal (5% slope). Cross slopes shall not exceed 1 unit
vertical in 50 units horizontal (2% slope).
• Accessible parking spaces and access aisles shall be located on a surface with a
slope not to exceed 1 unit vertical in 50 units horizontal in all directions. 1104.4.3
OSSC
HYDROSTATIC TESTING
All piping shall be hydrostatically tested at 200 psi and shall maintain that pressure
without loss for 2 hours. The test pressure shall be read from a gauge.
Section10.10.2.2.1 NFPA 24.
FLUSHING
The fire service mains shall be completely flushed. The flow rate shall not be less than a
velocity of 10 feet/second in accordance with Table 10.10.2.1.3. 10 feet per second will
be achieved c@D 1,560 gpm for 8 inch pipe. Section 10.10.2.1 NFPA 24.
GENERAL
The private fire service main shall be at least 30 inches below grade.
• All piping shall be inspected prior to backfill.

Premises Identification: Approved numbers or addresses shall be provided for all new
buildings in such a position as to be plainly visible and legible from the street or road

enclosed City of Tigard, Letter of Transmittal. The letter of transmittal assists the City
of Tigard in tracking and processing the documents.

has not been released by either the Planning Division or the Engineering Division at the
time of this letter, so the Building Permit cannot be issued. If you have questions please
contact Mans Buxton @ 503 - 718 - 2453.
The date of this letter begins the 180 day time limitation in accordance with Section
105.3.2 of the State of Oregon, Structural Specialty Code, 2007 edition. If the permit
has not been issued within the time limitations referenced in section 105.3.2, the work
shall be considered abandoned and the plans will be expired.

Below is the approval from TVWD for our water line improvements. I will get you a copy of the approved plans when I get
them (they mailed them so this time of year it could be a day or two).
As for the Geotech sign off on the grading plan, I submitted a signed memo from our geotech stating that he as reviewed
the plans for compliance with their recommendations. For insurance reasons he said that he is not allowed to actually
sign the plans. I am hoping this will meet your intent. We have hired them to do the site observation so they will be onsite
to make sure it is built accordingly.

The plan review was performed under the State of Oregon Structural Specialty Code
(OSSC) 2007 edition; and the State of Oregon Fire Code (OFC) 2007 edition. The
following conditions shall be submitted to The Tigard Building Department prior to
issuance of this permit.
1) Please show type of pipe, location of thrust blocks or mega -lugs, drawing of vault
showing FDC for underground sprinkler lines.
2) Provide diagram showing 90 Deg. turn into riser.
3) According to the submitted fire flow demand worksheet, three fire hydrants are
required. Please indicate the locations of the other two fire hydrants on the utility
sheet.
4) Existing fire flow that was submitted to the Fire Marshall is from the wrong
address.
5) Please indicate type of sprinkler system to be installed for underground fire line
sizing. This occupancy will have high hazard, high pile storage.
