All,
In addition to providing a brief update, I wanted to
be sure that contact information is shared before
I leave work for the year.
The District is prepared to construct spot
treatments 1 and 2 starting in late July. The work
is expected to take approximately two weeks. Rich
Hunter will provide Project Management with
support in the field from Marjorie Wolfe. Mike
McCallen will oversee the construction crew and
will attend to road flagging. He will coordinate with
Cheryl Caines in Tigard to be sure that the public
is kept safe and informed. Steve Martin and I met
on site last week and agreed that construction
materials could be staged on the upland portion of
Tigard's newly acquired parcel at Ash St.
However, that area is most practical for next
summer's construction activities. In the very short
term ( -2 days), materials could be staged in
the mowed area next to the trail to the south of
City Hall. However, the District will be responsible
for the condition of the grass following
construction.
Remaining issues for this summer:
Dan Nelson with Tigard is calculating the permit
fee for the Site Work permit and will follow up
shortly
Shelly Miller with ODFW is working on the fish
salvage permit for completion later this month

project - related correspondence.

I've appreciated working with each of you on this
project and wish you well in the year ahead. I plan
to return in time for construction of the new
channel next summer.
