° Meeting was calied to order at 7:10 p.m. by Mayor Jim Nicoli.
1. R+DLL CALL

Council Present: Mayor Jim Nicoll; Councilors Wend! Conover Hawley, Paul Hunt,
Bob Rohlf, and Ken Scheckla. Staff Present: Sill Monahan, City Administrator;
' Catherine Wheatley, City Recorder. Also present were Harry Bodine, Oregonian,
and David Ernst, Attorney
2. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Tigard City Council went into Executive Session under the provisions of ORS
192.660 (1) (d), (e), & (h) to discuss labor relations, real property transactions, f
current and pending litigation issues. All discussions within the Session are
confidential; therefore, nothing from this meeting may be disclosed by those F
present. Representatives of the news media are allowed to attend the Session, but
must not disclose any information discussed during the Session.
Executive Session recessed at 8:20 p.m.
Council convened into open Session.

City Administrator Monahan noted that Mr. Jim Hendryx was the top candidate for
the Community Development Director position. Mr. Monahan described the
candidate, noting that he had a working knowledge of the area. Mr. Hendryx'
credentials, credibility and technical knowledge were noteworthy as discovered
during the assessment center hiring process.
After discussion with Council with regard to Mr. Hendryx's selection and the
interview process, there was agreement among Council members that City
Administrator Monahan was within his authority to offer Mr. Hendryx the position. }
Council meeting recessed and convened into Executive Session at 5:39 p.m.
