Schwartz.

Valerie Johnson, Joe Kasten, and Jack Schwab. Staff Present:
Patrick Reilly, City Administrator; Loreen Edin,
Administrative Services/Risk Manager; Wayne Lowry, Finance
Director, Liz Newton, Community Relations Coordinator; and
Catherine Wheatley, City Recorder.
STUDY MEETING
EXECUTIVE SESSION: The Tigard City Council went into Executive
Session under the provisions of ORS 192.660 (1) (d), (e), (f) &
(h) to discuss labor relations, real property transactions, exempt
public records and current and pending litigation issues.
Executive Session adjourned at 6:51,p.m.; Council Study Meeting
called to order:
1. TUALATIN VALLEY FIRE RURAL FIRE AND RESCUE DISTRICT
• Update on Activity in District - Jeff Johnson
Mr. Johnson reviewed the Annual Report for Tualatin
Valley Fire & Rescue. Some of the information he
presented included:
Of a total of 13,514 responses in 1991, 1,868 were inside
Tigard City limits and broken down as follows:
Fire Calls - 122
Medical Calls'- 987
Hazardous Condition - 38
Public Assistance - 721

Mr. Johnson referred to the Public Education for ~
Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Fire District Programs
included the following:
Emergency Preparedness for Unified Sewerage Agency
- Durham
Corporate Partnerships
Fire Service Excellence Award J
Specialty Rescue Team now stationed in the area
Cvzwanit-j Assistant Program (assisting with "human
needs" after a fire)
Report on Safety Classes - Lee Coleman
Council heard a presentation on Attitude and Awareness:
Escape Planning.
