SUBJECT: Library Board Meeting Time
As you requested, I asked the Library Board to consider changing their meetings to
the first Monday of the month, so that it would not be on the same night as a regular
City Council meeting.
The matter was discussed at length at the regular meeting on October 12, 1981. Several
members were not able to alter their schedules. Therefore, the meetings will continue
to be held on the second Mondav of each month.
I have been directed to publish the agenda at least two (2) weeks ahead of the scheduled
meeting and to send copies to Board members, the City Council and the City Administrator.
If members ol' the Council or the City Administrator wish to attend a Board meeting, it is
requested that the Librarian or Board Chairman be notified at least one week in advance.
The time for the Library Board meeting will be set forward, i.e. , 6:30 PM or 6:00 PM, to
allow their attendance prior to City Council meetings. If it is necessary for the Librarian
and/or Board members to attend City Council meetings similar adjustments will also be made.
This seems the most reasonable solution at present.
