The City Council will go directly into Executive Session. 1. Adjournment t 3 T I G A R D C I T Y C 0 U N C I L EXECUTIVE SESSION MINUTES OF OCTOBER 17, 1977, 7:30 P.M. PRESENT: Mayor Wilbur A. Bishop; Councilmen John E. Cook, Alan W. Mickelson, Kenneth W. Scheckla, Lynn R. Wakem; Joe Bailey, Legal Counsel. Executive Session was called by the Mayor with common consent of Council under provisions of ORS 192.660 (a) to discuss City Administrator applications and interview schedule. Council discussed the four interviews held with applicants and whether they should continue interview schedule. Consensus of Council was to evaluate interviewed applicants and if there was a unanimous decision make offer to selected applicant. As some of applicants wished to have their name kept confidential, Council rated them numberically. After voting, consensus of Council was to secure further information regarding candidate number one's background and experience. If data is favorable, Council would offer candidate number one a salary of $26,000 plus 3% city retirement, as well as pay moving expenses to Tigard. Councilman Mickelson stated salary of $27,000 was the lowest the applicant would accept and Mayor was to explore and negotiate acceptable salary. If invitation to come to Tigard is not accepted, Council will meet again to consider candidate rated number two. Meeting adjourned 8:35 P.M. City Recorder ATTEST: Mayor —�—
