SPECIAL MEETING, AUGUST 22, 1975, 8:30 A. M.
j ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Wilbur A. Bishop, Councilmen Ralph C. Barkhurst, John E.
Cook, Robert C. Moore; Bruce P. Clark; City Administrator; Joe Bailey,
Legal Counsel; Doris Hartig, City Recorder.
Special meeting was called by the Mayor with the common consent of the Council for the
purpose of authorizing condemnation of property with respect to Hunziker Street Local
Improvement District.
Legal Counsel synopsized the City's efforts to secure the Hiransport right-of-way and
Slope easement with respect to the improvement of S. W. Hunziker Street. Several meetings
have been held with legal counsel representing P. C. and J. T. Hiransomboon and they have
refused and declined to execute the documents. Attorney -Bailey recommended Council authorize
condemnation proceedings so that the improvement of S. W. Hunziker Street may be accomplished
with the least possible delay.
Council and staff discussed the matter and the net effect on the local improvement district.
RESOLUTION No. 75-42 - A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DECLARING THE NECESSITY TO ACQUIRE A RIGHT-
OF-WAY AND EASEMENT FOR PUBLIC ROAD, PUBLIC STREET AND PUBLIC UTILITY
PURPOSES ALONG S. W. HUNZIKER STREET, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
(a) Resolution read in full by Attorney Joe Bailey.
(b) Motion to adopt: Councilman Cook; seconded by Councilman Moore.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council present.
