City Council Packet - 05/30/1974 l� T I G A R9D C SPECIAL MEETING MAY 30, 1974, 7:30 P.M. 1. ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor Floyd H. Bergmann; Councilmen John E. Cook, Robert C. Moore, J. Allan Paterson; Bruce P. Clark, City Administrator; Fred A. Anderson. City Attorney; Doris Hartig, City Recorder. Special meeting was duly called by the common consent of the Council for the purpose of canvassing the results of the;special tax base election held May 28, 1974. City Recorder reported the results of the election as follows: Votes cast in favor of the levy 624 Votes cast against the levy 986 y Votes -`void 13 Total votes cast 1623 Motion by Councilman Paterson to'adopt results of election; seconded by Councilman Cook. Approved by unanimous vote of Council present. Council and City Attorney discussed election irregularities. City Attorney stated City could not hold another tax base election at this time, however, matter could be presented to the voters at the November general election. ,City Attorney stated it was his opinion the registered voters,in the Rolling Hills and Derry Dell area were eligible to vote. Council requested City Attorney prepare a resolution regarding election irregularities to be filed with Secretary of State for consideration at next Council meeting. Notion by Councilman Moore requesting City Attorney prepare resolution; seconded by Councilman Cook. Approved by unanimous vote of Council present. T Motion by Councilman Paterson calling .for a special meeting to be held Monday, June 3,19749 at 7:30 P.M. for the purpose of considering an ordinance calling for a budget election; seconded by Councilman Cook.
