Anderson, City Attorney; Bruce P. 71prk, City Administrator; Doris Hartig, City Recorder; Nick Hiebert, Director of Public Services v Facilities 2 DESIGO REVIEW BOARD - A.iternaLe Appointments City Administrator reported screening committeerecommended alternate members be architect Janes Mann and Don Kolting, with the Planning Commission to make recommendation at next meeting for''third-alternate. 3. BUILDING CODE BOARD OF APPEALS Screening and interviewing committee recommended appointment of Don Phillips andreappointmentof Harvey Knauss. 4. WALNUT STRFET - WALNUT PLACE Council and staffdiscussed letter from Reverend Enz of Tigard Methodist Church and solution to dangerous intersection of Walnut Place and_Walnut tStreet at Highway 99W. Suggestions were made; that the intersection be realigned, better sz_n:nrv_ and es repainting of arrous on pavement. Councilman Moorto contact Mr. Peevy of Swif-T-Car Wash regarding alignment of S. u. .lalnut Place. Staff to contact State of Oregon Highway Department regarding their recommendations for improvement of intersection . Staff and Council` discussed Police Department policy regarding selective enforcement policy to prevent accidents. 5. BUDGET ELECTION Council requested staff contact adjoining cities as to when they are holding their elections and recommended city hold a tai base election. h.;' FOWLER SITE City Administrator to schedule meeting with Tigard School Board regarding acquisition of Fowler .Site and report back to Council. 7. COUNTY ROAD LEVY Council and staff discussed proposed levy and concurred the city should endorse passage. City Administrator to testify at hearing. B. LIBRARY EXPANSION, City Librarian stated the Lions Club had voted to donate matching funds in the amount of 1937.95 for furnishing the library. Otto Sorg, owner of the building will remodel 800 square feet in back of building for library use and Council agreed to appropriate increase in rent. City must submit application for funding prior to February 28, 1974. Council requested Resolution be presented to Lions Club in appreciation for their support of the library. 9. SIGN CODE BOARD OF APPEALS City Attorney reviewed proposed ordinance to be presented at next regular Council meeting. 10. C.R.A.G. - Future Concept Plant Alternatives Council requested City Administrator to respond that: they have no recommendation regarding alternative plans. 11. LIGHTING' DISTRICT WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURE City Attorney will furnish instructions regardinq withdrawal of Derry Dell Lighting District by next meeting. 12., HEPPNER LETTER Council requested Mayor: respond by letter and be.prepared to present it when requested by Mr. Heppner. 13. DERRY DELL LIGHTING Council requested staff to survey street lighting in area and report if additional lighting is needed. Staff to schedule meeting with residents:in area regarding their 'renommendetions. 14.' LIGHT RAIL TRANSIT City planner met with REPAC who requested Council rergmmend to C.R.A.G. endorsement of light rail transit system. City Administrator to respond to' REPAC_and C.R.A.G. 15.; COOK PARK ©OR GRANT COUndilman-<Cook requested status of :BOR application,. ' Staff reported new application is being draftod and park board has reviewed .and made comment on development plans. STUDY SESSIONS Council and staff discussed holding study ,sessions in City hall and feasibility of additional' remodeling. Staff to report back as to costs and limitations of budget. 17.
