WASHINGTON COUNTY OREGON Setting of Public Hearing February 25, 1974, 8:00 P.M. (a) Motion to adopt resolution: Councilman Cook; seconded by Councilman Paterson. Approved by unanimous vote of Council 7. NPO #1 TRAFFIC STUDY PRESENTATION - Carl H. Buttke (a) City Administrator requested Mr.. Buttke to give background information and analysis of report. The consulting engineer recommended alternative traffic patterns 4, 5, and 8, however, he felt proposal 4 would effectively reduce traffic in the neighborhood.- Dick Bolen, Associate Planner reported the NPO group had unanimously voted for and recommended adoption of plan #4., Their aecond choice uould be alternative #B• City Administrator suggested at a later date Council take 'up at *tudy ,session and consider. land use as it effects traffic volume. Staff recommended the report be referred back to the 'NPO #1 and Planning Commission For study and possible land use modification: (b) Motion by Councilman Norton to refer study back to Planning Commission and NPO #l; seconded by Councilman Paterson. Approved by''unanimou; vote of Council. Recommendation to be presented for Council consideration within 30 days, B. S.W. KATHERINE STREET IMPROVEMENT - Tim Templin, as well as other residents of S.W. Katherine Street requested Council solve the problem of repairing S.W', Katherine Street, >City Administrator reported possible alternatives for improvement Matter was discussed by residents, Council and City Staff. City Administrator suggested another neighborhood meeting be scheduled with residents, Council and ,City Attorney. Time and place to be established later. y i (r 9.
