STREET Di�PART E'NT:
Due to the heavy freeze this winter, this department has spent
many man hours on road patching. T%Te now have a schedule where
the crews concentrate on patching each 1„'ednesday. Street
sweeping is now being accelerated to clean up the winter debris.
IN PARK DEPARTHENT:
Crews have spent considerable time at Cook Park this spring;
clearing and chipping brush, building park tables, painting rest
rooms and planting trees. bte have planted some 120 new trees
in the park. We talked to several consultants regarding our
BOR grant and have received three proposals back.
EQUIPIvE,NT MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT:
Most of the construction equipment 'nas been rebuilt or
repaired for the summer months.
Most of the equipment is in very good condition. However,
some of -the mowing equipment is getting to the replacement stage
and the 1950 model Ford Tractor is due for replacement.
The automobiles are running generally good. Although, score ".
replacement will be necessary soon.
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT: F
Considerable time was spentthis month checking pians and
making up agreements; mainly for 'Culver Construction, SoJ Construe
tion, Holly Tree Subdivision and'viewmont Subdivision. Several `.
sewer projects were checked this month along with the normal
drainage complaints.
The Drafting Department spent considerable time on inter-office
files; updating surveys, redrawing and revising plans,completing a
reports and back to getting traffic counts.
