Telfer, City Administrator; Keith C„ Thompson,
Director of public Works, Doris Hartig, City

Absent : Councilmen Daniel L. Larsen, Robert C,
Moore
Special meeting was duly called by common consent of Council
for the purpose of discussing accident of Sgt, ,Tack Murley
and to establish city policy regarding such incidents,
Chief of Police Wilkinson reviewed accident and presented
needs of Department with respect to additional personnel,
City Administrator reported State Industrial Accident will
pay $270, of Sgt, Murley's present salary and hospital--
medical expenses will be covered by insurance, Judge William
Poole has offered his free services to handle insurance and
legal matters,
City Administrator recommended the following:
(a) City supplement Sgt, Murley's salary for an
indefinite period and to receive normal salary
increase in July, (Subject to review or until
Sgt„ Murley can make a decision on his own),
(b) Appoint Acting Sgt., after examination, with
5% increase from present salary,
(c) Authorize hiring ,an additional patrolman, _

(d) Assure Sgt, Murley that a position will be
available when he is able to returntowork,
2. Motion by Councilman O'Halloran to adopt City Administrator's
recommendation, seconded,by Councilman Bergmann,
Approved by at.animous vote of Council present,
3, ADJOURNMENT: $:20 P.M.
