SPECIAL MEETING FEBRUARY 17, 1969, 7:30 P.M.
1. ROLL CALL: Present: Mayor E. G. Kyle, Councilmen Floyd H. Bergmann
Daniel L. Larsen, Robert C. Moore, Thomas M. O'Halloran;
Stephen M. Telfer, City Administrator; Fred. A. Anderson,
City Attorney; Keith C. Thompson, Director of Public Works.
Absent: Doris Hartig, City Recorder
2. Special Meeting was duly called with common consent of Council for the
purpose of discussing the proposed Canterbury Heights Agreement.
3. City Administrator read proposed memo of agreement. City Staff,
Mayor and Council discussed Resolution, aspects of agreement, and
phases of development.
(a) Motion by Councilman Larsen to adopt Resolution 69-10, seconded
by Councilman Moore,
Approved by majority vote of Council. Roll call of vote as
follows: Councilman Bergmann, AYE; Councilman Larsen, AYE;
Councilman Moore, AYE, Councilman O'Halloran, NAY; Mayor Kyle, AYE
Discussion of annexation of property followed. Mayor Kyle set
4:00 P.M. Tigard City Council Chambers, as time for special
meeting to consider ordinance regarding annexation.
4. City Administrator presented copies of Meyers plan and explained the
proposal to create 350 acre lake,
(a) Motion by Councilman O'Halloran to authorize expenditure of $3,00
for Tigard's share of engineering feasibility study. Motion
seconded by Councilman Larsen.
Approved by unanimous vote of Council.
5. Discussion of proposed State legislation followed.
6. Adjournment: 9:00 P.M.
