City Council Packet - 05/18/1965 TIGARD CITY COUNCIL Minutes of Special Meeting May 18c 1965 Present; Mayo= E. G. Kyle: Councilmen E. A. Woodard; F. H. Bergmann; C. E. Klock, Sr.; D. W. Shinn; and Attorney F. A. Anderson The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P.M. by Mayor Kyle, and announced this is a special meeting calledfor the purpose of discussing the Specifications and Plans for the Park Restrooms. Council discussed the Plans and Specifications, and it was decided that the City should go ahead and accept bids. Councilman Klock: I move we approve the Plans and Specifi- cations, as presented by Stephens and Thompson, and ask for bids. Motion seconded by Councilman Bergmann. Upon call for vote the motion was unanimously approved by Council, all members being present. Mayor Kyle: There was an agreement with the City,Attorney that the City would submit Plans and Specifications to the:Builders Exchange. This would give all the contractors an opportunity' to-bid. Councilman Bergmann: A date and time should be set for the bids to be opened and read. Also a time set to close the bidding. Councilman Shinn: I'move that we accept bids until 5 P.M., June 7, 1965, bids will be publicly opened and read at 8 P.M. on June 7,' 1965. Motion seconded by Councilman Bergmann. Upon callfor vote the motion was unanimously approved by Council, all members being present. Councilman; Aergmann: The City Election will be held Tuesday, May 25, 1965, and'I would like to know whether City Hall should be 'open for regular business or not. Mayor Kyle: I see no reason why City Hall cannot be open for business on Election Day, Tuesday, May 25th. If there is no additional business I move that this meeting be adjourned`.
