Dear Mayor Phillips
This is to inform you that at its meeting on January 11, '1962 the
Washington CountyPlanning Commission approved the application of Mr.
C. E. Klock, requesting a zone change from R-7 (single family residential)
to A-1 and A-2 (multiple family residential) for property located east
of 90th Avenue_just north of the intersection of 90th Avenue and
Greenberg Road.
The above action by the Planning Commission will be reviewed
by the Washington County Court on Wednesday, January 17 at 1:30 P.M.
in Room206of the Washington County Court House. The Planning
Commission's action is merely a;recommendation to the court and the
County Court's decision will be the final determination in this matter.
At this time I do not see any problems in gaining the court's approval
of the Commission's action, however, I will see that you receive a
copy of the court order on the matter in any event.
In a conversation with Mr. George Lewis, last Thursday evening
he mentioned the possibility of a 'Joint :mee Lng with you on the
Planning Program in Tigard. If my memory serves me correctly, he
mentioned that you would like to arrange such a meeting this week,
which for me is fine.' I bring the matter up only to forewarn ;you
that' I will be out of the county the week of January 22 to"26, ;so if
we don't get together this week, it would have to be two weeks away.
If you would like someone to attend your council meeting to 'explain
the Planning Commission's actions on the above matter, please don't 'hesi-
tate to call on me.
Glad you could attend our Planning Commission meeting last Thursday,
and hope you found it enlighting. Looking forward to our meeting soon.
