A RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING ELISE SHEARER, AND APPOINTING LINLI PAO AND PHIL
THORNBURG AS VOTING MEMBERS TO THE CITY CENTER ADVISORY COMMISSION AND
APPOINTING KOURI CHAVEZ AS AN ALTERNATE TO THE CITY CENTER ADVISORY
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Center Advisory Commission (CCAC) consists of 9 members and 2 alternate members
appointed by City Council to act as an advisory body to the City Center Development Agency, the Urban
Renewal Agency for the City of Tigard;and
WHEREAS, there are currently 3 voting member vacancies and 2 alternate member vacancies on the City
Center Advisory Commission;and
WHEREAS, Elise Shearer was appointed as a voting member to the City Center Advisory Commission in
December,2007;and
WHERAS, Linh Pao was appointed as an alternate member to the City Center Advisory Commission in June,
2008;and
WHERAS, Phil Thornburg was appointed as an alternate member to the City Center Advisory Commission in
December,2009;and
WHEREAS the Mayor's Appointment Advisory Committee interviewed candidates and recommended
reappointing Elise Shearer and appointing Linh Pao and Phil Thornburg as a voting members of the CCAC,
and appointing Koun Chavez as an alternate.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: Elsie Shearer shall be reappointed to the City Center Advisory Commission as a voting member
to fill a term which expires December 31,2013.
SECTION 2: Linh Pao shall be appointed to the City Center Advisory Commission as a voting member
to fill a term which expires December 31,2013.
SECTION 3: Phil Thornburg shall be appointed to the City Center Advisory Commission as a voting member
to fill a term which expires December 31,2013.
SECTION 4: Kouri Chavez shall be appointed to the CityCenter Advisory Commission as an alternate
to fill a term which expires December 31,2011.
SECTION 5: This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
