RESOLUTION NO. 10- ,;��
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING JOHN STORHM, LIBRARY BOARD MEMBER, TO FILL THE
REMAINING TERM OF RESIGNING MEMBER KAREN LEVEAR AND APPOINTING GRACE
AMOS, CURRENT LIBRARY BOARD ALTERNATE, TO FILL THE POSITION TEMPORARILY
VACATED BY SCOTT HANCOCK, DUE TO 1VIILITARY DEPLOYMENT.
WHEREAS, Karen Levear, current Library Board member has submitted her resignation fioin the Board,
effective inunediately;and
WHEREAS, John Storlun, currently serving in the temporarily vacated seat of Scott Hancock, due to
Hancock's recent military deployment has agreed to assume the remainder of Levear's term which runs through
June 30, 2011;and
WHEREAS, Scott Hancock, current Library Board Member, has been mobilized and deployed by the United
States Naval Reserve for a period of approximately one (1) year, beginning March 13, 2010 and ending March
2011;and
WHEREAS, Grace Amos, current Library Board Alternate, has agreed to temporarily fill the open seat until
Hancock's return.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IF RESOLVED by the Tigard City Council that:
SECTION 1: John Storhrm is hereby appointed to fill the remaining term of Karen Levear,which runs through
June 30,2011;and
SECTION 2: Grace Amos is hereby appointed to temporarily fill the seat vacated by Scott Hancock,and will
retain said seat until Hancock's return in March of 2011.
SECTION 3. This resolution is effective immediately upon passage.
